Poland Defeated by Ecuador

The scoreline 2-0 against Poland. A minor upset as Poland should be stronger on paper.

Tenorio and Delgado scored for Ecuador (ranked fourth among the South American qualifiers and competing in the finals for the second time), but they had to defend well against the Poles in in the second half.

Ecuador now sits alongside Germany at the top of the group on three points.

For Poland it was a painful repeat of four years ago when they opened with a 2-0 defeat by hosts South Korea and failed to progress to the last 16.
