Halloween Costumes from NFLUniformSet

Halloween is a day when you go around dressed in costumes and go door-to-door to collect sweets, fruit, and other gifts (trick-or-treating). It is among the favorite holidays which my kid enjoys. It has a special allure for them, i guess a major reason that makes Halloween so wonderful is that you can dress up as any fantasy you want and have your persona accepted.

Popular classics like transforming yourself into a Disney character, a fairy princess or a sexy witch and casting a spell over all who see you, or Frankenstein and company for the boys. Usually the scarier the better!

If you are still undecided on what to buy for your kids this time round, why not consider a NFL uniform set by Franklin Sports for a Halloween costume? Dressing up doesn't have to be in fanciful or absurd outfit, it is possible to look good and different in sports Halloween Costumes too.

NFL Uniform Set has a large variety and sizes of Halloween costumes. Your kids will enjoy wearing the outfits because they are light, comfortable, light and thematic. Imagine their joy when they appear as their favorite NFL player! The glow one sees on the faces of kids while giving them what they love is a great joy for every parent.

And don't worry about outrageous prices. I know of parents spending more than $50 at costume websites. The best thing here is that your kid can still wear the NFL outfit after Halloween Day
rather than discarding it.

Owen gives McClaren goal promise

Steve McClaren is really in a hot seat these days. Recent results have not been encouraging and with next month's crucial Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia looming, add to that the injuries to Wayne Rooney and suspension of Peter Crouch, he is in desperate need of quality strikers.

He can "bank on" Michael Owen though as the striker has insisted that he will be back to his best in time to score the goals that will help save Steve McClaren's job.

McClaren desperately needs Owen to recapture the form that made him one of Europe's most feared strikers. Israel and Russia are certain to take a defensive approach and they would be happy with a draw at Wembley and it is Owen who will shoulder the burden of providing England's cutting edge.

Owen's performance against Germany, in the midweek 2-1 defeat, will hardly have filled McClaren with confidence. For a striker who hasn't scored a club goal since December 2005, he looked rusty in front of goal and squandered two chances he would have snapped up in his prime. It is hard to shake the suspicion that a succession of injuries have forever robbed Owen of the blistering pace that made him such a threat.

The only consolation from this match is that Frank Lampard managed to get back on the goal trail. Lampard's goal against Germany was his first goal for England in over a year and it couldn't have come at a better time for the Chelsea midfielder. His name was booed when it was read out before the match by fans who have made him a scapegoat for England's poor performances.

Lampard would love to win over all the supporters, but he knows the only way to do that is with deeds and not words. With four of England's final five qualifiers at Wembley, there is still a chance for McClaren's side to dig themselves out of trouble and reach the finals.

Definitely, scoring a goal has helped Lampard's confidence who once was the most effective midfielder and clinical finisher, that is before the World Cup disaster.

If he can create the chances for his teammates instead of squandering them, Soccer Pundit is sure that he will regain the hero's status in front of the fans again. Sometimes, scoring a goal is not as important as providing the goal, that is the key message Lampard should have learnt from the World Cup.

Soccer Nets and Equipment

After i purchased a Soccer Goal from SoccerGoalzInc recently for my kid and he is absolutely hooked on it, i will like to give more information on the product.

The kit, when fully assembled stands at 6 ft high by 12-ft wide with heavy-duty galvanized steel tubing. Not much problem assembling as the precision locking pins make it an easy and secure affair. Frankly speaking, you can't really go wrong with the setup if you use all the parts, it is nearly idiot-proof. No tools required except your hands, me and my son took all of 20 minutes to get everything in order.

The soccer net is an all weather 4" x 4" PE net suitable for tournament level play. Most nets are made with twisted polyethylene material, which is very durable, in either 2 mm or 4mm. For older kids, it is advisable to use 4mm net else it is apt to break more easily after a few sessions.

If you have a backyard soccer area you can find soccer nets on the cheaper side as you will not be using them with the same type of force as you would for school games. For school and league soccer you want to make sure that not only do you have a stronger 4mm soccer, you should also be sure you have back up nets.

Every now and then during a fast play some bodies as well as the ball will make their way into the goal area and can cause the net to become damaged or pulled. For this reason it is always good to standby with a replacement.

Besides Soccer Nets, they have other products lined up too. Their rebounders allow several kids to use it at the same time which can generate much fun for them. These allow youngsters to take innumerable shots while not having to retrieve the ball from the net.

They also have the sports backstop which is a versatile piece of equipment. The netting in the backstop is designed to slow the ball's motion safely. You can use it for almost any sport where a ball needs to be contained.

With a Soccer Net in the house, you can help your kids enjoy playing soccer more. Kicking the ball aimlessly at a fence or wall, or with no goal in mind, quickly becomes boring for most kids. Having a defined target to shoot at changes all that.

If my kid is any indication, he is now spending more time with his Soccer Goal than his computer games, so that is a big relief to me.

Real Madrid close in on Heinze

The arbitration panel has ruled that a letter from Manchester United chief executive David Gill which said Heinze could leave Old Trafford for 6.8 million pounds does not constitute consent for Heinze to leave for Liverpool. It has to be for an overseas club.

Well, now Heinze feels that he has no future left at the English club."This is not a war but I have to consider my stay at Manchester United is finished," he said in an interview published in British newspaper Daily Mirror on Wednesday."I am not anti-United but I only wanted to defend my right to search for another club without restriction," he added.

A couple of big guns are looking at the situation closely, most notably Real Madrid who is reportedly close to signing Gabriel Heinze for around 12 million euros. Lyon, who are looking to fill the void left by Brazilian centre-back Cris who has been ruled out for six months with a knee injury seems to be out of the race as they have made an offer of only 9 million euros.

Heinze said he has never spoken to clubs in Spain, France or Italy and was still hoping to join Liverpool."I have never spoken with clubs in these countries because in my head the only option is Liverpool. My hope was to negotiate a transfer to Liverpool but, unfortunately, the Premier League decided in favour of United," he said."The decision is a painful one but my lawyers are still searching for a solution, one that is favourable to all parties," he added.

Soccer Pundit feels that Heinze should just leave the Premiere League and do it fast. I mean, Manchester United has stood by him during his injuries and has always been protective of him even when some glaring defensive lapses were committed, yet he is creating a hell lot of shit at Old Trafford by choosing to go to their arch rival.

This fracas is doing nobody any good, whatever good-will Heinze has for the club or the fans have for him will be tarnished before this storm blows over. Now that the panel has decided that he cannot leave for Liverpool, and Real Madrid (as good a club or even better than Liverpool) is waiting in the wings for him, he is still asking his lawyers for advice.

Seriously, if Heinze really wants to take 'revenge', then move on to Real Madrid and do a one-up on Alex Ferguson on the pitch and close the case. That would certainly be much sweeter than the bad blood existing between both parties right now.

Arbitration decision on Heinze's move

It is now out of the hands of Sir Alex Ferguson as Argentina left-back Gabriel Heinze's move to title rivals Liverpool will be decided by a Premier League arbitration panel.

While Manchester United is adamant that Heinze should not be allowed to leave, the defender claims he has a letter from the Red Devils allowing him to leave if another club makes an offer of 6.8 million pounds (13.5 million dollars), which Liverpool have done.

The defender has asked for a three-man panel to decide whether the Old Trafford club gave him permission to leave for an agreed fee. However, United insist they made it clear to Heinze both orally and by letter that he would not be permitted to join one of their Premier League title rivals.

United chief executive David Gill and manager Sir Alex Ferguson attended the tribunal in London on Monday.

French champions Lyon meanwhile are watching the situation closely, and have made the Argentinian defender their number one priority following a serious injury to Brazilian Cris.

Geovanni's goal settles Manchester derby

Sir Alex Ferguson has lost his winning touch as Manchester United's early season problems got worse without a win in 3 matches. That should qualify as the worst start in the Premiere League's history for a defending champion.

Geovanni's first half goal settled the derby in favour of Sven Goran Eriksson and left Ferguson without a win in their opening three league games. The victory sent City to the head of the Premiership table with a maximum nine points from their opening three games as Eriksson's dream start at Eastlands continued.

Defeat especially to Sven must have been frustrating enough for Ferguson as both are not on good terms since rumors of Sven being Alex's successor surfaced in 2002. But more importantly, the United manager was left to contemplate a title defence that has brought just two points and one goal from three frustrating outings.

With Wayne Rooney out for two months after breaking a foot, Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer also injured and Cristiano Ronaldo starting a three-match ban, United's latest misfiring display will understandably give cause for concern.

As it is, Ferguson had little option but to ask Carlos Tevez to operate as a lone striker. But with Nani, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes all quick to offer support to the Argentine, there initially seemed little doubt United would have more than enough firepower to overcome a stuttering City.

With Owen Hargreaves bolstering the United midfield with an impressive Premiership debut performance, Ferguson's side completely dominated the opening period.

Were it not for a succession of outstanding blocks, tackles and clearances by Richards, United would have been well on their way to a first win of the season long before City finally sprang into life.

In a rare moment of fluent attacking play after 30 minutes, Didi Hamann linked with Elano who picked out his fellow Brazilian Geovanni in space 30 yards out.

And having been given time to set his sights by a flat-footed United back-four, the former Barcelona man drilled an inch-perfect strike beyond Edwin van der Sar.

The goal prompted a predictable response from United who, after a brief spell of control by City, laid siege to the home side's goal for the whole of the second period without properly testing Schmeichel.

It is hard to believe that United cannot muster a win after spending so much money, Soccer Pundit wonders if it is due to the curse of the Charity Shield?

Chelsea is doing no better in terms of injuries but at least they have 7 points in the pocket right now and right in contention for the league title. Unless United gets things back on track, Soccer Pundit believes Chelsea have more than a fair chance of usurping them this season.

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'
- Bill Shankly
