More Baseball Gloves

When it comes to baseball gloves, Fraklin sports is the best and official supplier. Founded by two brothers from Massachusets in 1946, The name Franklin has become a part of sports worldwide with a large focas on the youth market.

The youth series T-Ball Batting Glove is ideal for the beginner. The Vesta palm material is smooth and comfy for the delicate hands of the young player. If the equipment is not comfortable, the game will not be fun for a new player and they will lose interest quickly.

As a young player grows, his batting glove has to continue to be as comfortable as possible. The youth series batting glove is the answer. Reinforced fingertips and the Tri-Curve construction makes this a durable and necesary peice of equipment.

The Digital X-Cite or Digital Pro series are gloves that are not only made to last but manages persperation to keep moister and odour down.

The Carbo-Fibre II is extremely durable but is really soft. This is a REALLY comfortable batting glove and in my opinion, the final stop on your road to greatness.

The Franklin Batting glove is the official MLB batting glove and should be your choice from start to finish. Click on the link to see what they have to offer.

Other Spanish Actions

Valencia stumbled to a surprise 2-0 defeat to Rosenborg on Wednesday, but lie third in the Primera Liga a point behind leaders Real Madrid.

Real lost their unbeaten league start away to in-form Espanyol last weekend and needed late goals to see off Olympiakos 4-2 at home on Wednesday. They may not be firing on all cylinders, but Bernd Schuster's side will not be expected to drop points in the Bernabeu on Saturday against 16th-placed Deportivo Coruna, who have three defeats from their last four games.

Second-placed Villarreal are brimming with confidence after dispatching Barcelona in impressive style last weekend, and will fancy their chances away to an out-of-sorts Real Zaragoza. Victor Fernandez's preparations have been disrupted by a fall-out with Argentine midfielder Andres D'Alessandro.

Promoted Almeria travel to the Nou Camp on Sunday where Barcelona are coming to terms with their first league defeat last weekend and a goalless draw away to Rangers in the Champions League during the week.

But Frank Rijkaard's side have a formidable home record where they have scored 12 times in four home league wins.Bottom club Levante will be seeking their first victory of the season against visitors Atletico Madrid, who hammered Zaragoza 4-0 last time out.

Sevilla Returns to Form

Sevilla can confirm their return to form with a third win in a week by overcoming high-fliers Valencia at home in the Primera Liga on Sunday.

The UEFA Cup and King's Cup holders have endured a painful start to the season with the shocking death of Antonio Puerta, followed by a 3-0 pummelling against Arsenal in their Champions League debut last month.

They went on to lose four consecutive league matches, as well as their confidence and vibrant attacking style, while the mourning for Puerta overshadowed every game with acts of remembrance from home fans and opposing teams.

Coach Juande Ramos called for a change in attitude a week ago, with more positive ways of honouring Puerta, and everyone connected with the club has answered his call.Players acknowledged that the fans' decision to swap their minute's silence during every game for cheering and the chanting of Puerta's name had helped.

Sevilla, 11th in the standings, beat Levante 2-0 last weekend and Steaua Bucharest 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Late strike gives Benfica 1 - 0 win

A late goal by Paraguay striker Oscar Cardozo gave Benfica a 1-0 win over Celtic on Wednesday to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Benfica, who had lost their two previous matches on Group D, are now level with Celtic on three points each, both three points behind AC Milan and Shakhtar Donetsk whom the Italian side beat 4-1 at home.

The Portuguese team dominated throughout but Cardozo miscued a shot in the 23rd minute and hit the Celtic woodwork twice in the space of three minutes before finally finding the net.

Cardozo had his reward three minutes from time when Argentine substitute Angel Di Maria chipped the ball over the top for the Paraguayan to chest down and finish past goalkeeper Artur Boruc from close range.

Boruc was in evidence with several saves to prevent Cardozo from opening the scoring earlier and also made a spectacular save from a header by Greek midfielder Konstantinos Katsouranis two minutes from the break.

Veteran playmaker Rui Costa, who celebrated his 50th appearance in the Champions League, narrowly failed to score with a shot after 52 minutes.

The best chance for Celtic came from midfielder Scott Brown after 38 minutes when he dribbled past three opponents but had his shot turned away for a corner by Benfica keeper Quim.

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'
